Jack Skellington Pizza

Halloween is only a few days away. I'm so excited even though I'll probably eat junk food and watch TV. I still love Halloween though.
I really wanted to make something Nightmare Before Christmas for the blog to celebrate. I thought this pizza would be a perfect Halloween dinner.
This recipe is a part of #Burtoween. Over at Fandom Foodies there is a monthly cooking theme. This month is based around Tim Burton and is being hosted over at Witchy Kitchen. You can check out the recipes here.

What You Will Need
Pizza Crust
1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
Olives
1/4 cup Pizza Sauce

Step One
Spread your sauce over the pizza crust. Just add a spoonful at a time until you're happy with the amount.

Step Two
Sprinkle your cheese on top of that. You want to cover up your sauce.

Step Three
Cut off the sides of the olives to form Jack's mouth. Form the eyes using the uncut olive slices.

Step Four
Bake the pizza according to your crust. Mine was baked at 425 for 7 minutes.

I hope you guys enjoy! If you make these feel free to share here, on Facebookon tumblr, or use #thegeekyartist on instagram.

Zombie Brain Cakes

You know what Halloween is perfect for? Zombies. It doesn't matter if it's a movie, TV show, book, or video game zombies are ceeepy.
With the newest season of the walking dead coming out I thought something brain related would be perfect. I saw an image of these brains on Pinterest and decided to give them a try.

What You Will Need
Cake (You can bake some up but I had some ready made from a failed project)
Frosting
Candy Melts
A spoon

Step One
Take your cake and tear of small pieces. Rub it between your fingers to crumble it to crumbs.

Step Two
Add a couple spoonfuls of icing to your cake crumbs. Mix the cake and icing together. If it's to sticky add more cake. If your cake won't stick together add more icing.

Step Three
Melt your candy melts and pour them in your brain molds. Put in the freezer for 10 minutes or until your candy melts are hard.

Step Four
Roll a ball of cake and squish it to fit the mold. Add a little bit more candy melts to the top of the cake. Stick in the freezer for 10 more minutes.

Step Five
Now carefully remove the cake from the cake from the mold. Pull carefully at the edges and slowly push it out.

15 Video Games For Halloween

Hey guys! I thought it would be fun to do a list of video games to play for Halloween. These games range from lighthearted to disturbing. Everything said about these games is my personal opinion.

15)Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare
This game was originally DLC for the original Red Dead Redemption. It later on was released on a standalone disc. This game has you traveling across the west and killing zombies. The plot is John Marston is trying to find a cure to the zombie virus that has infected his son and wife. This game can be a bit repetitive and tedious at times but is overall a fun horror twist on a good game. Also you can't ignore a game where you can ride the horses of the apocalypse.

14)Luigi's Mansion/ Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon
These games are very far from horror. In fact these games are very humorous. In both games you take control of Luigi and hunt down ghost. These games are not long and like most Mario games are not very hard. These games are full of personality. I recomend this for someone who wants more of a spooky cute game then anything outright horror.

13)Five Nights at Freddy's
These games are very popular right now. People will argue about whether these games are scary or not. I personally don't have a fear of animatronics and don't really find these games terrifying I think they're worth mentioning. The gameplay for these games is very simple and similar in the first four games. The interesting thing is unlike most horror games you cannot run away. If you want to play these games I recommend looking up the lore first. My personal recommendation would be the first game however the fourth game has Halloween DLC.

12)Alice The Madness Returns
I will admit I haven't played this game yet. However every review I've seen praises this game for being very dark. In this game Alice's family died in a house fire and Wonderland is a twisted hallucination. If you love twisted, disturbing games this will be your kind of game.

11)Dreaming Mary
This game is a very odd and disturbing game. You play a pink haired girl named Mary. In this game you are in a dream where everyone seems to know you. This game has multiple endings and I recommend getting them all. This is a short game with great atmosphere and disturbing subject matter.

Trigger Warning for Dreaming Mary
This game does touch on the subject of sexual abuse/rape

10)Dead Space
It has been years since I played this game. The monsters in this game are really creepy and the game does make you feel trapped. The storyline and gameplay aren't the best on this list but this game certainly can creep you out

9)The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask
Even though this is not a horror game this game is still creepy and dark. The plot is Link ends up in a strange counterpart to Hyrule called Termina. Link learns that the moon is going to crash in three days. Doing all if the side quests and interacting with all of the NPCs will show you how dark this game can be.

8)Don't Starve
This game is probably the result of Minecraft and Tim Burton having a baby. In all seriousness this game has a really great art style and is challenging. It's really a survival game that doesn't really give you instructions. If you die the death is permanent and you will need to restart your whole game.

7)Fatal Frame 2: Crimson Butterfly
This game is the only Fatal Frame I've played. It also seems like the favorite in the series. In this game you fight ghost using only a camera to take pictures. The plot follows twin sisters, Mio and Mayu, through the haunted lost village. This game has great atmosphere even though sometimes the camera is quite frustrating.

6)Mario Party 2 (Horror Land)
This is a really fun way to celebrate Halloween with friends. This particular board has you dressed up in cute pointed wizard hats. This board is so spooky and cute it's one of my favorites.

5)Until Dawn
This game reminds me a lot of campy 80's movies. The plot of this game is pretty good but the main thing that makes this game interesting is that your choices can actually get characters killed. These choices are not always obvious so be careful with what you do.

4)The Witch's House
I will admit there are games that are similar in style to this game but fdone better. However this game is still one of my personal favorite. Even though it's hard I do recommend getting the true ending to this game. It really expands on the whole story so much.

3)Resident Evil
I specifically would recommend the first game. But really any of Resident Evil games will work. Zombies are absolutely great for Halloween. Please don't judge the games based off of the movies.

2)Silent Hill
This is another staple in horror games. This game has some of the most disturbing monsters. I really think the second one is the best and creepiest. Just remember the voiceacting is not the best.

1)Eternal Darkness:Sanity's Requiem
Finally we get to my favorite horror game. This little gem was on the GameCube. It has an interesting plot, great atmosphere, and scary monsters. This game also has a sanity meter that directly messes with the player. This game has you playing through different time periods. If you can find a copy I highly recommend it.

Any games you would like to add? I may do a couple more list like this. If you have any suggestions let me know. Thanks for reading!

Five Nights at Freddy's Chica's Cupcakes

Yesterday a new Five Nights at Freddy's game was released. I've been looking forward to seeing what Scott does with this game. I really hope that more of the story gets revealed.
I decided to make these cupcakes for the release of the new FNAF game. They are based off of Chica's cupcake in the first FNAF game.

What You Will Need
1 box of 16.25 oz cake mix
1 and 1/4 cup water
5 tablespoons of butter
3 eggs
Icing
Fondant
Pink dye
Black dye
Cupcake pan
Mixing Bowl
Whisk
Cupcake Liners
Toothpick
Knife

Step One
Preheat your oven to 350F. Mix together your cake mix, eggs, water, butter. Bake your cupcakes for 15 minutes. Give them plenty of time to cool.

Step Two
While your cupcakes cool dye your frosting pink and set aside.

Step Three
Knead your piece of fondant until it is easy to work with. Cut it in half and dye one half black. Keep the other half white.

Step Four
Roll out your white fondant. Use the middle icing tip to cut out a circle. Then out of that use your small tip to cut out a circle in that. Do 2 for each cupcake. Now roll out your black fondant and cut out a circle using the large icing tip. Now use the medium tip to cut a circle out of that. Now cut a small circle out of the black using the small black icing tip.

Step Five
To assemble the eyes take the medium white circle and place it in the large black circle. Now take the small black circle and place it in the medium white circle. Press together.

Step Six
Take half of your cupcakes and cut off the top of them. Use the frosting to attach these to the top of the other cupcakes. Place in the freezer for 10 minutes to stiffen everything.

Step Seven
Cover the top half with icing. Now take the eyes and place them on the cupcakes.

Pokeball Cookies

Today's post is brought to you by my insane craving for sugar cookies. Which is weird since I don't really like them. I mean I don't hate them but I prefer eating chocolate chip cookies.
I also really wanted to make another pokemon post. This Pizza was so much fun and easy so I thought the cookies would be too. Unfortunately I seemed to have terrible luck with these even though they really aren't hard.

What  Yoy Will Need
One pound bag of cookie mix
One stick of butter
One egg
3 tablespoons of flour
Icing
Black dye
Red Dye
White M&Ms (You could also use smarties or mini marshmallows)
Nonstick spray
Sandwich Bag
Scissors
A round icing tip
Cookie sheet
Toothpicks
Mixing Bowl
Plastic Wrap
A circle cookie cutter
Whisk
A rolling pin
A butter knife

Step One
Preheat your oven to 375. Mix together you cookie mix, flour, egg and butter.

Step Two
Divide your dough in half. Dye one half of it red and leave the other half plain. Wrap in plastic wrap and stick your dough in the fridge for 10 minutes.

Step Three
Flour your rolling surface and your rolling pin. Roll out your dough.

Step Four
Cut out your dough using the circle cutter. Then cut the circles in half.

Step Five
Spray your cookie sheet down with nonstick spray. Transfer your half circles and press one red half and one white half together. Bake your cookies for about 5 minutes. Give them plenty of time to cool down.

Step Six
While your cookies are cooling down. Dye your frosting black. Take your sandwich bag and snip a corner off. Put the icing tip into that corner. Put your bag into a coffee cup. Transfer your icing into your sandwich bag and seal it up.

Draw a line down the middle of your cookies.then add a small black dot to the middle of that. Add your white candy on top of the middle dot.
